Peas pulav

Basmati rice - 1 1/2 cup , Green pease - 3/4 cup,Ginger and garlic paste - 1 Tsp.Onion - 1 no.Cloves - 4 nos,Cinnamon - 2"p,cardomom - 3 ,Geera - 1/4 Tsp,Coconut Milk - 1 1/2 cup,water 1 1/2 cup, ghee- 5 Table spoon,Salt - to taste.

How to cook

Clean the rice ,saute for 20 min.Drain & keep aside.Heat ghee in a pot ,saut spices,then add ginger and garlic paste & chopped onions and add green peas.Now pour the coconut milk and water into a pressure cooker along with the sauted masala,add salt and rice and cover the pressure cooker with lid and cook until the whistle comes.
Now the pease pulav is ready and take and serve with garnished cashew nuts and coriander leaves.

Delicious Chicken Biriyani


Chicken - 1 kg, Geera rice - 1kg,Big Onion - 1/2 kg

Small Onion - 1 cup ,Ginger & garlic paste -2 tsp,

Tomato -1 cup,Curd - 1/4 cup,cashewnut 20 nos,

Kismis 20 nos,Ghee 1/2 cup,oil - 1/2 cup,salt to taste,

Green chilli - 5 to 6 nos,garam masala powder- 1 tsp,cumin seeds - 1 tsp,pepper powder - 1 tsp,

Cinnamon - 2 inch pcs,cloves - 5 nos,cardomom-4 nos,kashmiri chilli powder - tsp,

coriander leaves - 3/4 cup,Pudina leaves - 3/4 cup,lime juice - 1 lemon,turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp,water - 3 1/2 glass (Big glass).

How to cook

First we will make the masala for Biriyani.

Wash and cut chicken into biriyani pieces( large).Mix kashmirir chilli powder, 1/2 tsp pepper powder,1/2 tsp garam masala powder,1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder,lemon juice ,salt and marinate chicken pieces with this paste and keep for 1 hour.After that shallow fry the chicken pieces and keep it aside.

Now keep a pot on the stove,pour some oil and saut onion,small onion,ginger and garlic paste, tomato and green chilli,turmeric powder,garam masala powder,pepper powder,cumin seeds,salt and saut for some time.Finally add curd,coriander and pudina leaves.Now the chicken masala is ready.

Now we will prepare the rice.

Wash and soak the rice and drain water 2-3 times to remove the dirt.(if any).Keep an pot on the stove and put ghee,cardomom,cloves ,cinnamon and boil water.Add salt to taste and put 1/4 tsp of cumin seeds and add the drained rice and cook for 20 minutes.After that add chicken masala ,layer by layer .Eg.First layer masala, next layer rice and so on.Finally garnish with roasted cashewnut,kismis,corianderleaves and pudina leaves and serve the biriyani.

Simple chicken curry


Chicken - 1/2 kg,Big Onion - 1no.,Small onion - 1 cup

Ginger and garlic - 1 table spoon each,Tomato - 1 no.

Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon,Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 Tspoon

Coriander powder - 1 T spoon,Green chilly - 2 or 3 nos

Curry leaves, coriander leaves ,garam masala powder - 1/4th tea spoon.

Cumin seed - 1/4 teaspoon. Coconut oil - 2 table spoon,salt to taste.

How to cook

Wash chicken and cut into small pieces as required.Place a pot on the stove, put oil and saute onion , small onion,ginger and garlic paste,tomoto and green chilly.After that put turmeric powder, chilly powder,coriander powder, garam masala powder,cumin seeds and saute together.Put chicken pieces and little water and salt to taste.Cover the pot with a lid for 15 minutes and garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Now the chicken curry is ready to serve with chappathis, rice ,Naan etc.

Neychoru - a kerala meal preparation

How to prepare the tasty meal Neychoru
Geera rice - 1kg
Cashewnut - 10 nos
kismis - 10 nos
Cardamom - 1 no
Cinnamon - 2 small stick
Cloves - 4 nos
Cummin seeds- 1 teaspoon(powdered)
water - 3 1/2 glass(big)
Big Onion - 1 no., Salt as required,coriander leaves as required.

Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes, drain the water for 2-3 times for removing any dirt from the rice.Then take a large biriyani pot and start heating in the stove.Put some milma ghee ,cardomom,cinnamon,cloves and cummin seeds and cut onion (sauted) small pieces into it.Add water and put salt as needed.When the water boils add geera rice and close the pot with a lid for few minutes.Saute cashewnut and kismis in another pot.
Take the rice pot from the stove and garnish the rice with sauted cashewnut,kismis and coriander leaves.
Now the neychoru is ready to serve with side dishes like beef curry, chicken curry and salads.
